Step 1. Funds to invest
Here we will choose the amount of Funds to be invested from the total of the available funds.
This will give us a percentage that will be a maximum of 100% of the Funds. The standard is using 100% of the funds as we see in the following example:
Initial balance or available.
Funds we investing in the Combos.
We recommend to use 100% of the available Funds.
Maximum total amount of the Funds available for investment.
We can see the following numbers in our example:
- Balance: 2.000 €
- Funds to invest (maximum): 7,500 (25% less than the Balance)
- Funds to invest: $7,500 (100% of the maximum amount we can invest in the Combos).
It is important to note that the maximum value of Funds to invest is less than the Balance. This is usually 25% less (but can vary up to 75% less). These are key concepts to understand:
- Balance: This is the net value of your account when there are no open positions.
- Funds to invest (maximum): It is 25% less than the Balance (due to country regulations).
- Funds to invest: It Is the amount we choose to invest in the Combos.
According to our country’s regulations and the result of the suitability questionnaire, we will not be able to use 100% of your Balance to invest.
